The title reflects my own understanding of Scripture and what it means to be a Christian in the world. That is, I believe my true home is heavenly – it awaits me in the new creation. The idea then, is that this life is a journey that I am making “on my way home”. It suggests a transience and uprootedness that is similar to that which I’ve read about in academic studies and fiction to do with migration. I hope that it resonates with participants in the project; but I’m aware that it may need to change to more authentically represent their experience rather than my own!
